Brethren Fellowship of the Savior (now referred to as Mt. Zion Fellowship the Tabernacle) first official Sunday was in January of 1983 which was a prayer meeting held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Van Aken Blvd in Cleveland, Ohio.

This prayer meeting was held to garner the interest of future worshipers. The main focal point then, and remains the same today, was the saving of souls and the building up of the body of Christ. John 3:16 proclaims “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Our mission is to be a church that preaches, teaches, and lives in a way that encourages the salvation of souls through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since 1983, Mt. Zion has grown both physically and spiritually. We are a teaching ministry which believes the whole word of God- both the Old and New Testament to be true. We practice worshiping God in both spirit and truth. Psalm 150:6 states “ let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” We believe in praising God through our giving, our dance, the clapping of our hands, and all other forms of worship in decency and in order.

We are a ministry in pursuit of excellence through world evangelism, community outreach, educational development, and the economic empowerment of all people.

In 1991, the Church’s name was changed to Mount Zion Fellowship. Current membership is approximately 3000 members. Mount Zion Fellowship was built under the oversight of Dr. Williams. Its mission is to preach, teach and live in a way that encourages the salvation of souls through faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through Dr. Williams’ preachings and teachings, as well as through the many ministries of Mount Zion Fellowship.
